Washington Leadership Conference

Good morning Maryland FFA!
Wow I can't belive that the summer is half way over already! I just returned from Washington Leadership Conference or WLC Sunday morning. Monica, Bridget, and I had absolute blast meeting new people from all across the nation and proudly representing Maryland. We gained valuable leadership skills and have some new ideas and activities that we cannot wait to share with you! We have also been keeping busy by attending two conferences: Region 2 Leadership Conference and an Ag. Teachers Conference. While at the Ag. Teachers Conference we had the pleasure of introducing ourselves to your advisors. In two weeks our officer team is returning to the Maritime Institute for a week- long training presented by two National Officers, one of which is Jamie, who everyone was able to meet at State Convention. I hope that everyone is having a safe and happy summer! Please feel free to contact me via e-mail at kelsey@mdffa.org or friend request me on myspace. Thanks and I look forward to working with you in the coming year!
Hello Maryland FFA Members! My team and I have started a great year already. We have traveled to many FFA banquets and have been attending various trainings. Last week Monica, Kelsey and myself had a blast attending the Washington Leadership Conference in Washington, DC. Our time there was spent seeing a night tour of the monuments, touring the Arlington National Cemetery and also taking part in many exciting sessions. The best part of my week though was the last day when we got to take part in a service project. Our group of about 200 students sorted around 75 THOUSAND pounds of sweet potatoes. It was a great feeling knowing that we put a meal on someones table that night who wouldn't have had one. I hope that everyone is having a great summer so far. My e-mail is bridget@mdffa.org. Please feel free to contact me.
