COLT Conference

OMG this weekend was so much fun at the 1st annual COLT Conference!! The time started off with introductions, officer stations, and team-building games into today which included chapter oriented subjects (SAE, record keeping, etc.) as well as POA (Program of Activities), which I think each chapter did well on working on! :p

For me at least, one of the best parts was meeting new as well as familiar members from different chapters across the state!! I hope that throughout the year, I'm able to keep in touch with these members in addition to other members that couldn't make this event...

Thanks everyone for this experience and time together and remember if you need anything don't be afraid to contact me.

BLAST Off!!!!

We have one more day until BLAST Off is over. We have been working very hard together to learn techniques to bring to you guys on chapter visits. You will definitely have to ask one of us about iggle wiggle... We would love to show you!! :) There are plenty of pictures for everyone to see of all our gooooofy moments. There are plenty of them!! Also the MAEF Ag In The Classroom Conference is going on right now in the same hotel and we have had the opportunity to dine with those teachers and get to know some of them.
The COLT Conference is in less than a week. we are very excited to interact with all the members attending. We hear it is going to be a blast and will be awesome. See everyone soon...

Walkerville Banquet

Can't believe my time at Walkersville has already come and gone!!

Friday was the Walkerville FFA banquet...there seemed to be a good crowd (including many new members)! After dinner, the program of awards and recognition kicked off which seemed to run very smoothly. We recognized all of our advisors: Mr. Stull, Mrs. Poffenburger, and Mrs. Welty for their continued support and guidence. During the whole night, we all seemed to have fun...i think Stull did too even when he was attacked by Cory and Cody every time they came and excepted an award (because it was basically their last time at an FFA function around Stull)!! At the end of the night, we also had a time of rememberence including a moment of silence for one of our FFA Alumni members who had passed away this year...

Congradulations to the new officer team and i can't wait to come back to school and visit with you all!!! Good Luck With Everything :)

Linganore and Brunswick Banquets

sorry i'm a little late on these 2 banquets....

well tuesday i attended Linganore's banquet; dinner was good since they had stuff other then chicken, actually fried shrimp (because as a state officer that seems about all we eat during banquets...LOL) They seemed to have a really good turn out of members and parents alike. I really enjoyed their recognition of senior members as well as their slide presentation. Plus i loved their talent portion of Warren singing a few songs including "Wagon-Wheel" (just like at State Convention.) Congradulations to their new officer team and i know they will have fun this coming up year!!

Thrusday was Brunswicks banquet...besides Carrie getting lost on her way up there, everything was good! The program was real nice and many awards were given. i liked how they recognized the senior members parents, and hearing the senior officers talk about their FFA careers and where it has/is going to take them. i also enjoyed viewing their slideshow of the past year as well as Heather's retiring presentation. Congradulations to all their award winners and new officers (who i can't wait to get to know during this coming year)!!
