Livestock Judging & Dairy Handling

Saturday the Livestock Judging and Dairy Handling CDE's held at the Howard County Fair...which turned out to be a perfect day!

Dairy Handling seemed to go smoothly and quickly; everyone seemed to do real well. Congraduation to Nathan Roderick for his 1st place win and a trip to nationals. As well as congrads to the 2nd - 5th place individuals who will have the opportunity to travel to Big E in September!

Dealing with Livestock Judging, the classes seemed to be well put together. After 6 classes, there was the test, team grading and reasons. Congradulation to FSK for placing first with 3 of their team members placing 1st - 3rd. Hopefully they will do well as they travel to Indy this October to participate at Nationals!!

NLCSO (National Leadership Conference for State Officers)

Well hey everybody! Hope you guys are getting ready for the start of school.....I know I know, I don't want to think about it myself. Tomorrow I go buy my books for college..

Anyway since the last I left a blog the state officer team and I travled to Dover, Delaware, where we took part in NLCSO. What a wonderful experience! We got to meet our fellow state officers from; PA, DE, NJ, VA, and WV, and let me tell you they are some great people!!

While we attended this conference, we learned many new things to bring back to you guys here in Maryland. We had a pig roast one night, and even a dance! I can't wait till we get to show you guys what we have learned!

Till next time MD.....have a great rest of the summer....and if I don't talk to you soon, have a great start to the school year!
